Bucks County Bar Foundation gala to honor 7 outstanding community members

The trustees of the Bucks County Bar Foundation are taking the opportunity of the celebration of its 20th anniversary to recognize, honor and praise extraordinary members of the community whose selfless acts of service, giving and volunteerism have made a meaningful contribution to the community.

The foundation will present the following awards to the individuals listed below:

• Service Awards will be given to:

o Josh Fields – The Next Step Programs

o Paul Muller – Team Toyota

Both of these individuals have worked on behalf of others without being motivated by financial or material gain and have made significant contributions to their community through selfless, altruistic service to charitable, religious, civic, governmental and/or educational organizations.

• Veterans Awards will be given to:

o Janet Brennan – Shamrock Reins

o Ryan Manion – The Travis Manion Foundation

o Honorable Patrick J. Murphy

All three of these individuals, along with their organizations, have demonstrated philanthropic support and selfless service to members of the military services and their families.

• Justice Awards will be given to:

o The Peace Center

o Barbara Asteak Kaner, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA

Both The Peace Center and Barbara Asteak Kaner are being honored for advancing the ideals of social justice in the community at large. These recipients have encouraged a greater respect for the law and fostered a greater respect for the rule of law.
