Bucks company’s TV show to feature NFL star Damar Hamlin

Posted

NFL superstar Damar Hamlin, freshly recovered from his shocking on-field cardiac arrest, is giving back to his grandma, Portia, the woman who taught him the value of selflessness, with a top to bottom renovation of her home in Pittsburgh.

The Season 3 episode of “Secret Celebrity Renovation,” produced by Newtown-based Juma Entertainment, airs at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 on CBS.

“It’s incredible that Damar Hamlin is one of the celebrities this season on our CBS series. Most of us remember where we were when we saw him collapse on the field this past January. And that seven months later, he’s healthy, playing for the Buffalo Bills, and traveling back to his Pittsburgh hometown to renovate his grandmother’s home, underscores how special a person he is,” said Bob Horowitz, Juma Entertainment president.

“Over three seasons we’ve had amazing individuals and stories where celebrities have gone above and beyond to show that special person from their past how much they helped guide them to become the person they are today. But no celebrity backstory has come close to Damar’s and what viewers will see Friday night on CBS.”
