Bristol Riverside Theatre hosts special pre- and post-show events

Posted

BRT’s productions of “A Raisin in the Sun” offer special pre- and post-show engagements, included with the ticket price, for guests to create a special night out.

The Feb. 1 Opening Night performance is followed by a reception where patrons can revel over the night’s show. BRT’s Feb. 2 Friday Festival features drinks courtesy of Pat Deon Beverages and Dad’s Hat, snacks, and desserts. Wine Down midweek on Feb. 7 with complimentary wine from Chaddsford Winery Lahaska and desserts, and enjoy Thirsty Thursday on Feb. 15 with beer and snacks courtesy of Dog & Bull Brew & Music House, Naked Brewing Co., and Philly Style Soft Pretzel.

In addition to the traditional post-show offerings, BRT presents Black Theatre Night, celebrating and amplifying Black voices and providing access to Black theater for all audiences. On Friday, Feb. 16, patrons may arrive early at 7 p.m. to enjoy light refreshments at a pre-show reception and stay for the post-show conversation with Director Lisa Strum, community leaders, and the cast. Advanced tickets are strongly encouraged.

Prior to the Feb. 16 performance, at 5:30 p.m., The Business Club, Bristol’s newest events venue, hosts Black Professionals Night, a pre-show meal and mingle networking event. A single ticket includes access to culture, cuisine, business, and entertainment, beginning with a pop-up shop featuring curated products and services created by Black entrepreneurs.

Attendees can purchase unique fashion, accessories, and beauty care products from local businesses and enjoy a meal, including vegetarian options catered by Lem Lem’s catering. The evening event is an opportunity to foster connections, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations with professionals from various fields.

Each ticket to Black Professionals Night includes a ticket to the show, a buffet-style meal, and drinks with taxes and gratuities included. Guests must be 21 to attend.

Tickets for “A Raisin in the Sun” are available online and by phone at 215-785-0100. For information, visit www.brtstage.org.
