Bridgeton Township hosts community expo

Bridgeton Township hosted a UBE Community Resource Day on Aug. 12.

The expo, held in the Bridgeton municipal building in Upper Black Eddy, provided community members an opportunity to learn about resources and services available to them from a wide range of government, nonprofit and commercial agencies. Door prizes were donated by local merchants and an Upper Black Eddy Fire Company firetruck was also on display.

Organizations and individuals who participated in the community event included the Bridgetown Township supervisors and secretary, state Rep. Craig Staats, state Sen. Jarrett Coleman’s office, represented by Jennie Maehrer; Bucks County’s office of tourism, Bucks County Community College, Bucks County SPCA, Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Center, River Valley Waldorf School, Friends of the Delaware Canal, Upper Black Eddy Fire Company, DCNR, Bucks County’s office on aging, Palisades Community Foundation and the Bucks County Opportunity Council.
