Birthday celebration supports furry friends

Posted

Bill D’Anjolell, president of the Bucks County Antiques Dealers Association, held a special 65th birthday event May 7, at Mexican restaurant Poco’s of Doylestown.

Instead of gifts from the 50-plus friends, he asked all those in attendance give $20 or more per person to the Pennsylvania SPCA. D’Anjolell had a similar event when he turned 60.

Party-goers thoroughly enjoyed Mexican/American food along with Italian pastries that Bill brought along for the guests. After their lunchtime meal, guests were entertained on the second floor at the Comedy Cabaret by three comedians.

A fun time was had by all with a large donation of money appreciated by Michelle Neef, a representative from the Pennsylvania SPCA, headquartered in Philadelphia. When asked if Bill would do this again when he turns 70, he said, “Time will tell.”
