“Birds and Blooms” come alive at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve’s free family day

Posted

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve invites families to The Preserve @ Play—a full day of family fun and child-friendly activities—on Saturday.

All families with children age 14 and under will admitted free to the Preserve from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., last admission at 4 p.m. Activities will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They can look forward to games, woodland crafts, sensory exploration, refreshments, live music by Lolly Hopwood, a bird demonstration program by Wilderz Wildlife and more. Enjoy 5 miles of hiking trails, the children’s play areas (R.O.T. Plot and Sycamore Hollows), the Green Labyrinth and all other areas of the Preserve during this day of celebration for the next generation of explorers.

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, 1635 River Road, New Hope, increases the knowledge and use of native plants by serving as an educational resource and destination that inspires conservation action. The 134-acre Preserve—the only accredited botanical museum in the country dedicated to native plants—hosts a documented living native plant collection that features over 700 of Pennsylvania’s 2,000 native plant species.

Pre-registration is not required. Learn more about The Preserve @ Play, including the program schedule, at www.bhwp.org.
