Beverly Ann Goulding went home to the Lord, February 12, 2021, while her husband,
Charles Goulding, was beside her. Born on February 3, 1944 in Niagara Falls and
raised in Elmira, NY.
After graduating from Corning Community College in Corning, NY, she moved to Washington, DC, where she was a secretary for Dean Rusk at the State Department.
When they moved to Philadelphia, Bev taught third grade at Saint Albert the Great
School.
She married Charles in Elmira when Charles was in his fifth year at Cornell University.
Bev and Charles enjoyed 55 years together.
The League of Women’s Voters fueled her interest in environmental causes. After
moving to Buckingham Township, her pursuits were land preservation, recycling, halting
chemical spraying, and even running for Township Supervisor as an Independent.
Though she did not win the race, she kept the independent personality and continued
her efforts with environmental causes.
The New Hope Solebury Community School hired her to be the Director where she
served for 14 years.
Volunteering for her church, Beverly comforted nursing home residents with Scripture
and prayer, participated in home fellowship, and supported several missions and a crisis
pregnancy center.
Her family was always her love and she encouraged gatherings at her home.
