Bensalem Township School District Orchestra members participated in the Bucks County Music Educator’s String Day Festival on Nov. 4.
String Day is a one-day festival held in the Council Rock School District, this year at Holland Middle School, featuring the top string students in grades seven to nine from all over Bucks County. The students were given concert music when they arrived in the morning, rehearsed throughout the day, and performed a concert in the afternoon.
Bensalem students who participated in the festival include:
Bensalem High School: Jude Sakkal - first chair cellist, and Jared Santos; Robert K. Shafer Middle School: MaryJo MacAdams, Sabiha Nexhbi, Lily Sweeney, Kaidin Tran, Benjamin Thai, Erin Overlander-Lutz, Avika Vora, Greg Winters and Thomas Obeid; Cecelia Snyder Middle School: Mackenzie Carney and Eva Lang.
