Barbara A. Fordham died on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne at the age of 88.
Born in Trenton, N.J., daughter of the late Anna (Kempl) and Michael Kungl, Barbara was a lifetime resident of Morrisville. She attended Pennsbury High School.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Lower Bucks County.
She was an avid reader and a member of the Friends of the Library. She instilled her love of reading in her family.
Barbara spent much of her working career as a bookkeeper, working with various companies in the Lower Bucks area. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels, and was very active with the food pantry at the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisville. She also volunteered with A Woman’s Place, and proudly volunteered each year at the Election Polling places in Falls Township.
Barbara was a member of the Bristol Historical Society – she loved the many bus trips she took with them – and she enjoyed working at Bristol Day and the peach festival. She was also a member of AA.
She was the loving mother of Karen B. Weiss and Shawn M. Stillwell (late Kevin); devoted Mom-Mom of Justin M. Stillwell (Raechel) and Shelby L. Weiss; and the proud great-grandmother of Callum.
She is survived by her stepson, Edward J. Fordham; several nieces and nephews; extended family; and many friends, including Michael Naylor, her longtime friend with whom she enjoyed spending time and going to the theater.
Barbara was predeceased by her siblings, Daniel, Michael and Robert Kungl, and her stepmother, Blanche Kungl.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Food Center at Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 North Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
