On Jan. 3, members of Doylestown American Legion Post 210 completed the first section of the Path of Honor by installing the first 92 bricks.
These bricks honor and remember past and present veterans who have served honorably in defending the United States of America. The veterans in this section represent all military branches that served during the Revolutionary War, the Mexican-American War, World War I and II, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, Iraq and Afghanistan. The dedication for the Path of Honor is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 6.
The Path of Honor was created by the American Legion membership to visually remember and honor the service members who faithfully served their country. Names of these veterans in the Path will be a lasting tribute to them for as long as the American Legion continues to fulfill its’ mission of Service to the Veteran Community. The Path starts at the street and will continue to the front steps of the American Legion Hall.
The preparation for the second section will begin in spring. The Post welcomes anyone who wishes to have a family member, a relative or a friend who served remembered in this section. The Post would like to reach out to families and relatives of former Post members to ask them to consider honoring and having their veteran remembered in the Path of Honor.
