ACME presents Lambertville Halloween Film Festival and Monster Bash

Posted

The Acme Screening Room second annual Lambertville Halloween Film Festival will be held Oct. 27-29.

Think spooky thrillers, paranormal activities, and horror. The films selected are some of the best in indie horror and have had sold out screenings at festivals across the country.

This year, the festival will include daytime activities for all ages, celebrating the Halloween season. A ghost tour hosted by the Lambertville Historical Society, make up demonstrations, tarot readings by Kristine Gorman, and the Monster Bash Costume Party, hosted by Missy N*Formation and sponsored by the Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce, are just some of the fun.

This year the festival will also highlight the work of young filmmakers bringing the Hunterdon Teen Arts Festival to the LHFF. Film submissions were accepted from local high schools in the area, giving teens the experience of creating and submitting their films through a professional platform. Thanks to the Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission for sponsoring this portion of the LHFF.

A panel of star judges will award the spookiest, scariest, and all-around creepiest films with the coveted Golden Pumpkin Award as well as the title of Best Picture. An audience selection for Best Picture and Best Short will also be announced.

Discounted weekend packages are now available. For all schedules, tickets and information check the website at www.acmescreeningroom.org/lhff.
