4th “Paint Our Towns” Plein Air Open calls for artists

Posted

The AOY Art Center invites all plein air artists to be a part of the 4th Annual “Paint Our Towns” Plein Air Open. Registration is now open and artists can view the full prospectus at aoyarts.org.

In keeping this as a local community event, artists will not be juried. Registrations are capped at 75, however.

There will be cash and other prizes awarded as determined by the respected and notable artist, Joseph Gyurcsak.

The plein air window is April 8-May 3 and aims to celebrate the beauty in the greater Yardley, Newtown, Langhorne and Fallsington area. This includes Tyler State Park, Lake Afton, Core Creek Park, Washington Crossing State Park and Historic Newtown, Yardley, Historic Fallsington and Langhorne and points in between.

Each artist may enter two framed works to be on exhibition at AOY Art Center, at 949 Mirror Lake Road in Lower Makefield, on the Patterson Farm, beginning Saturday, May 18 from noon to 5 p.m. and then Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through June 2.
