10th annual “Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along” slated

The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society and members of the community will join voices for their 10th annual “Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along” with full orchestra at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Lenape Valley Church, 321 W. Butler Ave., New Britain.

The sing-along will be conducted by Martha Ellen Smith of Bristol and accompanied by the 40-piece Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Orchestra, conducted by Bob Binkley. Guest soloists include Holly Gash of Newtown, Alexandra Gilliam of Wyncote, Laura Isabella of North Brunswick, N.J., Sarah Folsom-Kovarik of Ambler, Julie Smith of Philadelphia, Jane Betro of Bethlehem, Timothy Faulkner of Ewing, N.J., Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber of State College, Brenten Megee of Kennett Square and Jason Adamo of Morrisville.

The audience may sing along with the choruses, including the world-renowned “Hallelujah Chorus,” or simply listen and enjoy the concert. Singers may bring their own “Messiah” score or download the chorus music from the homepage of the website BucksGilbertAndSullivan.org. Admission is $15, payable at the door by cash or check only, with children 13 and under free. The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society is a nonprofit organization.
