Christopher “Chris” Meyers, of New Hope, Pa., died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Jefferson Health - Northeast - Torresdale. He was 59.

He was recently married to Renee Ryan of Florida and was the former husband of 23 years and dear friend of Joann Ensminger of Dublin, Pa.

Born in Doylestown, Pa., he was the son of Suzanne Edwards Meyers of New Hope, Pa., and the late Francis J. Meyers Jr.

Chris spent his youth in New Hope and was a 1982 graduate of New Hope-Solebury High School. He grew up working at his family’s business, Fran’s Pub, but his passion was working as an electrician and learned the skill as a young man at the elbow of his neighbor. In 1990, Chris started his own electrical business, C. Meyers Electrical Services, which he operated with extreme pride and the utmost detail to perfection and professionalism for 10 years. He then moved on to Brothers Electric where he brought his knowledge and desire to grow. He became an integral part of the growth of the commercial division and was responsible for the completion of many large projects, including churches and high-rise apartment complexes. He enjoyed and loved working with the entire Brothers Electric family they had created.

Truly, a free spirit, Chris, enjoyed spending time outdoors with family, friends and his dogs. If there was snow on the ground, locally, you would find him at Magill’s Hill sledding/skiing, tubing snowboarding and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed his trips out west with his grandfather to go skiing and snowboarding.

His love for his family and children was as unique as Chris was, he loved them with the same passion he had for life. As his children grew, he supported their interests. He helped Michael through Boy Scouts and camping trips, their love for music grew from Chris teaching Michael how to play guitar to all the concerts they attended together. The two of them fulfilled a dream they both had when they went skydiving together. His little princess Michelle proudly supported and watched her grow from her days of ballet, gymnastics, and horse riding to the strong independent woman she is. He adored and cherished the times he was able to spend with his two granddaughters (lovingly called peanuts), Nevaeh and Layla.

If you were fortunate enough to know Chris, you knew you had a friend for life, he loved and lived with such passion. He was always there to help with a smile on his face and a beer in his hand.

However, the summer was Chris’ favorite time of year. He was a sun-worshiper. He loved tubing the Delaware River, the beach, being near the water and cruising on a boat.

Wanting to spend more time in the sun, Chris moved to Florida. It was there where he entwined both his passion of electrical work and the embrace of the sun. He worked as an electrician throughout the state and did some of his best work on the expansion of the Tampa Airport as well as various hospitals.

In addition to his wife, Renee, and mother Suzanne, Chris is survived by his two children, Michelle Meyers of Doylestown and Michael Meyers and his wife Courtney of Manayunk, Pa., his sister, Karen Meyers of New Hope, Pa., his half-brother, Dennis Meyers. He is also survived by his two dear grandchildren, Nevaeh and Layla. He was also predeceased by his sister, Beverly.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his life at Fran’s Pub, 116 South Main Street, New Hope, PA 18938 on Friday, January 19, 2024 beginning at 1 p.m.
