Pennsylvania State Police Troopers from Troop M (Lehigh, Northampton and Bucks counties) conducted a two-day traffic enforcement period from Tuesday, April 27, through Wednesday April 28, targeting aggressive drivers during rush hour throughout the Troop M coverage area.
Results of this enforcement period included: 563 traffic citations issued; 410 warnings issued; 8 driving under the influence arrests; and 11 drug arrests. Other significant arrests were possession of 915 cartons of untaxed cigarettes and a person not to possess a firearm.
Troopers will continue to focus on aggressive drivers throughout the summer months as traffic will increase on the roadways.
