The letter in the Herald “Restore Our Earth” by Paul Lang told us the celebration of Earth Day was inspired by Rachel Carson’s book “The Silent Spring.” I have that book. It was published in 1962 and she had to defend her truths from assaults from the chemical industry.
After all this time, we are still having to do that.
