Posted

The little gallery with big heART, Scrambled! Gallery of Gifts, is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a “Small Works Show for Big Causes,” from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday June 19.
Scrambled! Gallery of Gifts will offer for purchase the small works of 40 art student, from two local schools, as well as the art of 15 established and emerging adult artists to benefit two local causes in celebration of giving back to the community that made Scrambled! a success during one of the worst times in retail history.
Students from Buckingham Friends School in Lahaska, and Painted Oak Nature School in Hopewell, N.J., have been working on their small art for the past couple months and will offer them up for sale with 100% of the proceeds to be split between local causes Pine2Pink, which supports people with breast cancer and BCSPCA, which benefits animal welfare.
Each student has been asked to create a 5- by 5-inch piece of art which will be sold for $20, although art patrons may donate more if inspired.

Owner, Erin Simmons explained how it all came together: “I wanted to give back to the community and my job during the week is as youth program director so I knew I wanted to include youth in some way. I approached one of my very first customers, a teacher at Painted Oak.
“He was so excited about the opportunity for his students that I thought including even more students would help us to be able to raise even more money for the two causes. I reached out to the art teacher at Buckingham Friends School and she was excited about the opportunity as well. I am hoping for a successful event so I can continue to do this for other causes in the future.”
Scrambled! Gallery of Gifts, located at 39 W. Bridge St., New Hope, opened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Scrambled!! in addition to the works being offered in the show, currently carries the art of 23 artists from various backgrounds.
