Theft: of political campaign signs are once again being reported, police said May 4.

“We want to again remind the public that these thefts are unacceptable. The Police Department will pursue criminal charges for Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition against anyone caught stealing political signs. Anyone convicted of this 3rd Degree Misdemeanor offense could face up to one year in prison and/or up to a $2,500 fine. We will not tolerate criminal activity perpetrated to support or suppress a particular cause, opinion or candidate.”

Quakertown

Arrested: Matthew Holtzhafer, 38, of East Broad Street, Quakertown, at 4:35 p.m. April 19, in the 500 block of East Broad Street on an active domestic relations arrest warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and paraphernalia, police said.
Arrested: Thomas Sturzebecker, 56, of East Paletown Road, Quakertown, at 5:15 a.m. April 21, in the area of North 3rd and West Broad streets on an active warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear. He was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department.

Charged: Destyne Schwenk, 22, of the Southwest Street, Allentown, at 1:22 p.m. April 22, in the 1400 block of West Broad Street, after she was stopped for an expired registration and suspended driver’s license. She was subsequently charged with possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Schwenk was referred to the Bucks County Community Accountability Panel.

Arrested: Carnell Long, 27, of West Elm Street, Allentown, following a traffic stop in the 300 block of South West End Boulevard at 1:01 a.m. April 24. Police said they stopped the vehicle Long was driving because the front passenger side tire had been rubbed down to the rim and the rim was riding on the road surface. Long was subsequently charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Cited: Jared Back, 35, of Jefferson Court, Bensalem, April 26, for criminal mischief and trespassing stemming from an incident that occurred when the Impound Yard located at 777 E. Broad St. was broken into on Jan. 12.

Cited: Donna Ornosky, 59, of Arlington Street, East Greenville, with disorderly conduct at 6:18 p.m. April 22, for conduct outside the amphitheater at 501 W. Mill Street. She was referred to the Bucks County Community Accountability Panel.

Arrested: Wendy Barnes, 43, no fixed address, at 1:06 a.m. April 27, in the 1400 block of West Broad Street on a Bench Warrant out of Bucks County for failure to appear. She was transported to Bucks County Prison.

Cited: Laura Arnaudo, 76, of West Broad Street, Quakertown, with harassment, at 8:02 a.m. April 28, for inappropriate behavior in the 200 block of West Broad Street.

Arrested: Skyann Zajac, 34, of South Hellertown Avenue, Quakertown, following a traffic stop in the area of Park Avenue and South 4th Street for expired inspection at 11:11 a.m. April 28. She was subsequently charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrested: Sean Compas, 36, of Woodview Drive, Quakertown, with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, after police received a call at 6:49 a.m. April 28, about a man inside a blue Subaru slumped over the wheel in the area of Heller Road and Tohickon Avenue and found Compas.

Charged: Theodore Bickley, 51, of Henry Avenue, Collegeville, April 29, with possession of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop on April 24, in the area of South West End Boulevard and West Broad Street.
Arrested: Kevin Umanzor-Ramirez, 18, of Pennington Lane, Quakertown, April 27, in the area of 52 Pennington Lane on a felony narcotics warrant out of Lower Salford Police Department. Search incident to arrest revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Charged: Christian Munoz, 21, of Tamlynn Lane, Easton, with fleeing and eluding police and driving under the influence of alcohol, after police attempted to stop him at 4:58 a.m. May 1, in the 100 block of South West End Boulevard due to the noise and sparks coming from his vehicle. Munoz fled police cruisers and was finally pulled over north of the intersection of Route 309 and Passer Road. He was arraigned by District Judge Michael Gallagher and bail was set at $5,000 unsecured.

Cited: Tywuan Hendricks, 38, of Front Street, Quakertown, May 1, for harassment on two separate occasions. He allegedly struck a man at 26 Front St. on April 19 and struck another man at the Bush House Hotel, 200 W. Broad St., on May 1.
