Charged: Harvey Zimmerman, 60, with forgery access device fraud, bad checks, receiving stolen property, identity theft, and “posses access device knowing counterfeit.”

Police responded to Univest Bank in Chalfont, at 11:30 a.m. May 20, for a report of a bad check.

Zimmerman had come to the counter attempting to cash a check belonging to another account holder, police said. The teller became suspicious when Zimmerman couldn’t answer basic questions regarding the account and didn’t match the picture that they had on file for the account holder.

Zimmerman was arrested and found to have multiple forms of false identification, as well as credit cards in his possession. While in custody it was discovered that he had multiple warrants from other local police departments.

Zimmerman was arraigned on all charges, bail was set at $225,000 with conditions and he was transported to Bucks County Prison.

Quakertown

Charged: Avery Colon, with delivery of controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from further investigation into a traffic stop that occurred on May 4. An arrest warrant was issued May 18. Police ask anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact them at 215-536-5002.

Charged: Wendy Barnes, 43, of South Main Street, Richlandtown, May 25, with possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property stemming from further investigation into an incident that occurred April 27, at the Econo Lodge, 1446 W. Broad S.

Arrested: Dwain Englert Jr., 31, of West Broad Street, Quakertown, at 9:15 p.m. May 25, in the 300 block of West Broad Street on a Bench Warrant out of Bucks County for failure to appear. He was temporarily held at Quakertown Police Department until being turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department.

Richland

Theft: of two lounge chairs valued at $1,200, from Pelican Leisure Sports May 8, by the driver of an older model Blue Chevy S10.

Theft: of four Dewalt 60 V batteries, one Poulan chainsaw, one Dewalt circular saw, one Dewalt hammer drill and impact, and one Dewalt oscillating saw, May 15, from the bed of a Ford F150 truck parked at the Quakertown Farmer’s Market, 201 Station Road.

Charged: Sharon Marie Weil, 58, of Zionsville, with retail theft, following an investigation into a woman seen leaving the Grocery Outlet, 70 North West End Blvd., on May 4 and May 6, without paying for multiple items on both dates.

Charged: Axel Emmanuel Olvera Naranjo, 22, of Souderton, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, May 15, during the assistance of a disabled vehicle in the roadway.
