“Odyssey Exhibition” winners announced; show online

Posted

The Pennsylvania Center for Photography has announced the winners of this year’s “Odyssey Exhibition” and the show is now live at pacenterforphotography.org.

“Odyssey” is one of the largest photographic exhibitions on the East Coast and this year’s show features over 200 images, which represents a small fraction of the entries from across the United States and multiple foreign countries. As always, the subject matter submitted was very eclectic and represents the diversity of the entrants and their photographic and life journeys.

The task of judging such a diverse show is always difficult with so many great images submitted. This year, First Place was awarded to Melissa Mertzman of New Hope for her image “Inside Joke,” with Judy Reinford of Allentown taking Second Place.

Barry Nealis and Gerard Blair won Honorable Mentions. Eduard Moldoveanu won the Best Black and White Award and Ted Ellis won the Best Wildlife Award. Wendy Brusca’s haunting image won the Director’s Choice Award.

The “Odyssey Exhibition” is available at pacenterforphotography.org until July 18, and many of the images are available for sale.
