Mobile Sunday Exposition visits Doylestown homes

Posted

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has kept people from getting together for Sunday worship, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel parishioners in Doylestown also have been unable to attend Holy Mass, and to receive the Eucharist.

Parochial Vicar, the Rev. Harold B. McKale, along with Bill Lahr, parishioner and Grand Knight, Knights of Columbus, Council #4160, led a mobile Exposition Sunday, with an altar assembled on the back of a black Cadillac truck, to pass the homes of parishioners who “made a request to bring the Lord to them.”

The mobile exposition began early Sunday morning, May 17, and ended in the late afternoon. They passed by residences, blessing the onlookers and their homes with Our Lord in the Eucharist. Social distancing prevented them from stopping or visiting. Nearly 200 Parish families participated.
