Lin Manuel Miranda visits with Bucks Playhouse producer, set designer

Posted

During the shoot for “Tick Tick Boom!” in New York City Oct. 28, Lin Manuel Miranda stopped for a masked photo opp with longtime friends: set designer Anna Louizos, and Tony-winning producer Robyn Goodman.

Goodman and Louizos play Jonathan Larson’s neighbors in two scenes of the film. While they have no lines, it was definitely fun for them. “We did it with nostalgic feelings about doing the show off-Broadway, and because we love Lin,” Goodman said.

The three have been long associated as Goodman produced “In The Heights” and Louizos did the set design. The connection to “Tick Tick … Boom!” is sentimental as well. Goodman worked with Jonathan Larson who wrote “Tick Tick … Boom!” and she took him to see “La Boheme” at the Met when he was writing “Rent.”

In addition to Broadway theatrical work, Goodman is executive producer of Bucks County Playhouse and Louizos is an artist associate for the Playhouse.
