Kehilat HaNahar hosts communal song session

Songwriter, educator and prayer leader Deborah Sacks Mintz of Hadar’s Rising Song Institute will perform inspiring Jewish music at Kehilat HaNahar, The Little Shul by the River, 85 W. Mechanic St., New Hope, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15.

Mintz seeks to support communities in unlocking their own abilities to lead and empower their spiritual selves. By composing and sharing new liturgical music, she offers a fresh take on a deeply traditional sound.

A transformative prayer leader and musician, Mintz is a teacher of Torah and communal Jewish music. She serves as a resource to those seeking to cultivate the grassroots musical and spiritual creativity of the Jewish people. She is pursuing rabbinical ordination at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
