Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mid-East Family Ties Ministry will host the Rev. Imad Twal from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Amman, Jordan, Sept. 21 and 22.
Twal will speak at all Masses at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Doylestown Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22, about the challenges of being a Christian in the Middle East.
Meet and Greet receptions at St. Mary’s Hall after all Masses will provide an opportunity to meet and speak with Twal. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
Raffle tickets will be on sale after all Masses and at the OLMC Parish Picnic Sunday, Sept 22. Tickets for items, including holiday dessert of the month, dining in Doylestown and two handmade quilts, created by one of the ministry members, are $5 each or four for $15. Twal will pick the winners during the picnic outside St. Mary’s Hall.
Proceeds will support humanitarian and emergency relief aid, helping the mission of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Jordan and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, in serving the needy and most vulnerable Christian minorities in the Holy Land.
