Hunterdon Summer Concert Series venue changed to Deer Park Path

Posted

Hunterdon County Parks & Recreation Division announced the “Music Under The Stars” summer concert series earlier this spring and recently moved the concert series location, returning to Deer Path Park, Commissioner J. Matthew Holt reported.
“Due to the relaxation of the state’s Emergency Orders, and the ability to safely meet outdoors while following current CDC guidelines, the Parks Division felt it was right to return to Deer Path Park for the summer concert series,” said Holt, the board’s parks liaison.
Four concerts have been announced: June 17, Hunterdon Symphony; July 8, Southern Steel; July 22, Hunterdon Harmonizers; and Aug. 5, the Captain Jack Billy Joel Tribute band.
“As we continue to re-open our facilities and popular events, we ask that everyone continues to be considerate and follow all CDC guidelines and the state’s Executive Orders, that are in place at the occasion of each event, Parks Division Head Dan Bush said.

“We encourage the community to attend the concerts and drive-in movies and enjoy the county’s parks.”
The drive-in movies will be held Sept. 4 and 18, movies to be announced, and rain dates are Sept. 9 and 23, at the South County Park Fairgrounds, 1207 Route 179 in Lambertville, N.J.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any of the county parks, but food is permitted; bring your own. Visit the county website for information or call 908-782-7275.
