Stover Mill Gallery will feature a selection of over 70 pastel and oil paintings by Bucks County artist Helena van Emmerik-Finn, beginning May 29.
The exhibition, titled “Large & Small,” runs through June 20 and includes many local scenes of Bucks and Hunterdon counties, as well as the animals that make their home there.
“I have been staying close to home lately and finding that I haven’t run out of wonderful subject matter to paint. Our country roads offer many opportunities, from large, sweeping vistas of the river and fields to little corners of the farm world,” van Emmerik-Finn said.
She works en plein-air as well as in her studio and enjoys her scouting trips with her camera.
Van Emmerik-Finn studied at The Philadelphia College of Art, has taken workshops with many notable instructors and has participated in numerous plein-air festivals.
