Designed for Nature: A June garden tour

Posted

More than 400 guests and volunteers enjoyed six Doylestown/Chalfont area residential gardens featuring native plants and creative water management on June 19.
The 5th annual Designed for Nature Garden Tour was sponsored by the Bucks County Branch of the Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association (WNF&GA) in partnership with Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. Garden hosts Chad Clem and Reema Persad-Clem were the recipient of the preserve’s Landscapes in Transition gift with expertise provided by the WNF&GA and preserve partnership.
This year’s garden tour hosts were Donna and Richard Shindell, Chad Clem and Reema Persad-Clem, Wendy Margolis, Alexi Freedman and Matthew Volpe, Ken and Cynthia Jones, and Anna Edling and Charlie Malinauskas. The New Britain Borough garden of preserve volunteer Dave Horne provided the location for the tour’s native plant sale.
