Buzgo shows vibrant paintings at Silverman Gallery

Posted

Bucks County artist Jean Childs Buzgo presents a collection of her newest paintings, beginning May 15 and continuing through June 19, at the Silverman Gallery of Bucks County Impressionist Art.

Join the artist for her opening receptions, taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 15, and again the following weekend from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 23.

Buzgo’s expanded color palette, expressive brushwork and use of oils and mixed media have added a new depth and vibrancy to her paintings. “Her incredible work ethic and determination have persevered through these challenging times. The result is quite extraordinary,” said Silverman owner Rhonda Garland.
With the gallery since 2014, Buzgo is known for her renditions of iconic places throughout the region. Nocturnes of favorite streets and waterways, landscapes alive with color and light and loose paintings of flowers appeal to a broad range of people both local and beyond.

Aptly titled “VIBRANCE,” the show includes “Ranunculus,” “Canal Morning Memories,” and one of her personal favorites, “A Forest,” both examples of her deftness with color and light.
A passionate, inspired and prolific painter, Buzgo has garnered a loyal following of fans that look for her new work on social media, on the Silverman Gallery website and in person, many paintings selling within a few days of being completed. During COVID, the collection has grown to over 30 new works, even though she has shared her home studio in Yardley with her son and daughter.

All visitors are asked to keep their masks on inside the gallery. An area outside will be set up for drinks and snacks. The gallery is located in Buckingham Green, 4920 York Road (Route 202) in Holicong, just south of Peddler’s Village. Call 215-794-4300 for information or to set up a private appointment. An online listing of Buzgo’s available work can be found on the Silverman Gallery website.
