The Bucks County Historical Society (BCHS) has named Gloria Pugliese as vice president of development, effective Monday, July 12.
The vice president of development provides leadership and management for the creation and implementation of short- and long-term development plans to support the BCHS’s institutional mission-driven initiatives. This senior leadership position identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government sources to support the BCHS’s mission, and achieve the museum’s strategic goals.
Pugliese has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and management. She has secured gifts for medical research, historic preservation, museum exhibitions, higher education, and human services. Over the course of her career, she has secured numerous major gifts from individual donors and over $10 million in funding from corporate and foundation sources.
Pugliese holds a bachelor’s degree in French from Susquehanna University, a master’s degree in education from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration from La Salle University.

The Thompson Organization announced that Thompson Lexus Doylestown and Thompson Lexus Willow Grove have been awarded the Elite of Lexus Award.
This marks the 24th year Thompson Lexus Doylestown has received this prestigious award and is a first-time achievement for Thompson Lexus Willow Grove.
The Elite of Lexus is an annual award given to dealerships that have demonstrated the highest level of customer care in both their sales and service departments. This honor is given only to dealers who meet certain performance and quality metrics. These metrics include sales retention, year-over-year improvement, and most importantly, customer satisfaction.
The Thompson Organization will host Employee Appreciation events for the two dealerships. Both will celebrate with a catered lunch, Thompson Lexus Doylestown on Aug. 4 and Thompson Lexus Willow Grove on Aug. 10.
