Bucks children represent U.S. in U.N. art exhibition

In celebration of United Nations Children’s Day, three young artists from Bucks County join a Florida youth as the sole four artists representing the United States in “My World,” an intercontinental Children’s Art Exhibition.

The three Pennsylvania artists are Xochitl Caireen Day, 10, of Upper Black Eddy from Tinicum Elementary School, Pipersville; Taylor Hartzell, 8, of Quakertown attending St. Michael’s the Archangel School, Coopersburg; and Saree Li, 8, of Quakertown, a student at Quakertown Elementary School. They are joined by Jonah Tomlinson, 9, of Miami, Fla.

Sponsored by the Inter-Art Foundation, Aiud, Romania, the exhibition will feature the artworks of 102 children from 22 countries on five continents, expressing their visions. “My World” will be exhibited in large banner format in the “City of the Arts, Aiud, Romania. An on-line catalog of all of the children’s works will feature all works at inter-art.ro/childrenart.

The artists were selected by Inter-Art Foundation’s USA project coordinator Patricia Goodrich. Each will receive a Certificate of Recognition and poster from the Foundation.
