Artists exhibit together in “A Clear Light”

Posted

The Artists’ Gallery of Lambertville will show work by Gail Bracegirdle and Claudia Fouse Fountaine from Jan. 7 to 31 in an exhibition titled “A Clear Light.”

Bracegirdle enjoys working in watercolors because of the environmentally sensitive nature of the medium. She likes to experiment with various textures and types of watercolor papers and pigments to create specific effects. The subjects vary, depending on each day’s distractions.

Fountaine is a Bucks County artist known for her colorful depictions of animals, interiors and local landscapes. This show is all new work for her, done during the pandemic. Smaller in scale than usual, these paintings reflect a somewhat distilled vision, or a “clearer light.”

Artists’ Gallery, 18 Bridge St., Lambertville, N.J., will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no opening reception. For information, call 609-397-4588 or visit lambertvillearts.com.
