Recognition Categories

The Bucks County Herald invites the public to nominate Realtors who are members of the Bucks County Association of Realtors. Nominate an individual by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page. There is no limit to the number of people who can be nominated by one individual, and one individual can be nominated for more than one recognition. However, each nomination requires a separate form.

Realtors will be recognized for their achievements in the following categories:

Excellence in Mentoring
Realtors who have made a profound impact on an individual or individuals by continuing to guide, motivate, inspire and support in a way that helps make the world a better place.

 

Champion of Champions:
One Realtor who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, integrity and commitment towards improving the Bucks County community.


Agency of Champions:
The real estate office that has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, integrity and commitment towards improving the Bucks County community.

 

Champion for Children:
A Realtor who has shown dedication and commitment to an organization that supports and serves children and youth.


Champion for Shelter:
A Realtor who has shown dedication and commitment to an organization that works to ensure the right to shelter and access to affordable housing.


Champion Against Hunger:
A Realtor who has shown dedication and commitment to an organization that alleviates poverty and hunger.


Champion for Health:
A Realtor who has shown dedication and commitment to an organization that focuses on prevention, education and understanding of health issues.

 

The Peacemaker:
A Realtor who maintains a high level of professionalism and excels at making the home-buying process smooth and conflict free for both buyer and seller.


Most Tech-Savvy Realtor
A Realtor who excels at the use of current technology and applications for marketing and sales.

 

Most likely to Have a Show on HGTV:
Realtor who knows the ins and outs of home staging, remodeling and repair.


Realtors with Cool Second Gigs:
A Realtor who is also accomplished in a second vocation, i.e. musicians, artists, authors, teachers, athletes.

Overview of Realtors Among Us: A Special Publication

The Bucks County Herald (“The Herald”), in partnership with the Bucks County Association of Realtors (“BCAR”), will publish a special section of The Herald called “Realtors Among Us: Advocates. Neighbors. Champions.” Distributed in print and on-line to over 145,000 Herald readers and 1000+ members and supporters of the BCAR, Realtors Among Us will be published for the first time on November 15, 2018.

The purpose of Realtors Among Us is to shine a light on extraordinary members of BCAR and their unique contributions towards making our community and world a better place.

 

The Special Recognitions in Realtors Among Us

Realtors Among Us will highlight the accomplishments and capabilities of several dozen outstanding Realtors and one agency. Within the issue there will be special recognitions and photographs of Realtors who are nominated by the general public and selected by a special panel.

 

Who Can Nominate and Be Nominated

Anyone can nominate a Realtor for recognition. Nominators are encouraged to make sure that nominees are current members of the BCAR before submitting the nomination.

There is no limit to the number of people who can be nominated by one individual, and one individual can be nominated for more than one recognition. However, each nomination requires a separate form.

Self-nominations will be accepted but nominations by others are preferred.

The Selection Panel

Nominations will be reviewed and selected by a panel comprised of the senior editors and publisher of the Bucks County Herald and distinguished members of Bucks County Association of Realtors.

Use of Materials Submitted

All nomination material will remain confidential with the following exceptions: When a nominee is selected for recognition, the information about the nominee’s activities that was provided by the nominator may be published in Realtors Among Us and used in public relations materials produced in connection with the issue and recognition-related events and communications.

 

Deadlines and Dates

Nominations must be received by no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, October 22.

Notifications of those selected for recognition will be made on October 23. Neither nominators nor nominees who were not selected will be notified.

Photographs of those selected for recognition will take place during the week of November 11 (for the November 15th issue).

A special recognition event, co-hosted by The Herald and the BCAR, will take place on Wednesday, November 14.

The historic Chez Odette building was officially, and successfully, moved to it's new site, where it will be restored as part of a comprehensive community revitalization plan and the mayor and several community members were all in attendance.
