Breaking news:

The Solebury Township Board of Supervisors is profoundly saddened by the homicide of the four young men that occurred at a Solebury farm. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families in this difficult time.

The board would like to thank the District Attorney’s office, the Solebury Township Police, surrounding police forces, as well as county, state and federal agencies. Although the incident is tragic, we are proud of the extremely professional manner in which Chief Bellizzie and the Solebury Township Police handled the investigation. We are fortunate that a rural community such as Solebury has the level of training and experience that our department possesses. We would also like to thank the Solebury and Buckingham Township Public Works Departments for assisting with manpower and equipment.

As you know, this heinous act is not typical of our community, as is evident by the tremendous amount of support we have received from the community. We were contacted by many people asking how they could help. The police were overwhelmed with donations of food and water for the searchers. Additionally, numerous people volunteered to assist with the search. This desire to help is a testament to our caring community.

Chief Bellizzie will be making a statement at a later date and will be available for questions at the next Supervisor meeting on Tuesday, July 18 at 7 p.m. (Solebury Township Hall, 3092 Sugan Road).

If you have any information that may be relevant to the investigation, please call the FBI tip line : 1-800-CALL-FBI (press option 7) or go to tips.fbi.gov.
