Elegant French Picnic Fundraiser Benefits Ely Park

Up for auction is an oil painting by artist Robert Beck representing a ballgame at Ely Park titled “Down the Middle”

The Friends of Ely Park cordially invite the community to Pique-nique-themed fundraising dinner on Monday, May 22 at 6:00pm at Hamilton’s Grill Room in Lambertville, NJ.  This elegant affair will commence with a signature cocktail and live music in the courtyard and will continue indoors to a French inspired picnic under a canopy of abundant and verdant Spring flowers and trees. Guests are encouraged to “BYBB;” bring their best bottle of wine to the event to enjoy or share.

David Rago and Suzanne Perrault of Rago Arts and Auctions, will host a brief auction of 10 luxury offerings guaranteed to pique your fancy including: a festive dinner for 12 staged by Jim and Melissa Hamilton; an oil painting by artist Robert Beck representing a ballgame at Ely Park titled “Down the Middle”; an outstanding collection of fine California, French and Spanish wines; a “Time for a Day of Beauty” donated by Neiman Marcus stylist Robin Federiconi & Castor Jewelry; and A Classic English Polo Picnic at Tinicum Park donated by The Kitchen Potager,  just to name a few of the items up for auction.

The next exciting phase of the revitalization of Ely Memorial Park centers around making it ADA compliant and wheel chair accessible so physically challenged residents and visitors can enjoy the park. This is a community-based effort, and The Friends of Ely Park, a 401 (C) (3) non-profit, relies on caring individuals to participate and make this legacy project of local designer and restaurateur Jim Hamilton, a reality.  FOEP truly appreciates all the support and generous donations from our local and regional community.
