Breaking news:

Animal cruelty subject sought

Hilltown police have obtained a felony arrest warrant for Rony Arturo Garcia, 24, of Perkasie for aggravated cruelty to animals.

Police responded to the 1400 block of Route 113 on Feb. 3 for the report of a male subject threatening members of the household and who had possibly killed the family’s pet dog. Upon arrival, police noticed several large pools of blood within the residence. Police determined that all family members were uninjured and that the pools of blood were from the dog. The dog was located a short distance from the house discarded within a ditch. The dog, a 15-month-old Mountain Cur, had severe and visible head trauma and was deceased. A carpenter’s claw hammer was later located inside the residence. The deceased dog was transported to the Bucks County SPCA, where a necropsy was performed. It determined that the dog suffered multiple skull fractures as a result of blunt force trauma.

Police are seeking assistance in locating Garcia and fear he may be attempting to flee to his home country of Honduras. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hilltown police at 215-453-6011 or a leave a message on the Anonymous Tip Line at 267-517-9119.
