ALL DEADLINES RELATE TO THE THURSDAY DATELINE OF THAT WEEK

HOW TO SUBMIT ADS

Ads can be submitted to the Bucks
County Herald by e-mail, hand delivery
of disc or ftp.

The Bucks County Herald has a skilled
Composition Department that can assist
you with creating and updating your ad
if needed.

ADVERTISING DEADLINE

Mondays at 12:00 pm

CLASSIFIED DEADLINE

Tuesdays at 10:00 am

Please contact your advertising sales
representative to discuss layout and
make arrangement (ie. copy, deadline
paperwork, payment) . A proof will be
released to you in a timely fashion for
your approval before press.

When submitting electronic files, the
following guidelines should be followed:
Tiff or jpeg files are acceptable (save tiffs
with PC encoding and LZW compression,
save jpegs as baseline standard and
quality 10). Tiffs and jpegs should be
300dpi. All native files (Quark, Illustrator,
InDesign) should be converted to PDF
format.

EDITORIAL DEADLINE

Tuesdays at 9:00 am

CALENDAR DEADLINE
Two weeks prior to event.

OBITUARIES DEADLINE
Tuesday at 4:00 pm.

Email

- All email submissions for advertising must be sent to your advertising
sales rep and cc'd to deborah@buckscountyherald.com.

- Keep all emails under 10MB or compress larger files using Stuffit Deluxe
or WinZip.

- Please include the client's name and insertion date in the subject line
of your email.

 

 

 

PDF Format

- PDFs should be created using Acrobat
Distiller using Press Quality job option.

- Do not use PDF writer to create a PDF.
(This is offered as a printer in Acrobat.)
The PDF will not be suitable for printing.

- All fonts must be embedded.

- File settings from Quark should be 2400
dpi and 100 linescreen.

- 4 color ads should be created as
composite CMYK with all spot colors
converted to process. RGB files must be
converted to CMYK before creating the PDF.
