Central Bucks schools make top 20 STEM list

According to a newly released Niche.com study, seven of the top 20 public STEM high schools in Pennsylvania are in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

Schools in Bucks County that made the top 20 list are as follows: No. 9 - Central Bucks East; No. 17 - Central Bucks South; No. 18 - Central Bucks West.

These schools have an especially strong focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and provide a solid foundation, preparing their students to focus their college majors on STEM fields to meet the increased demands of rapidly evolving technology careers.

The study uses data from the U.S. Department of Education and includes analysis of key statistics as well as millions of student and parent reviews. The ranking is “based on math state test scores, enrollment in advanced math and science courses, math SAT/ACT scores, alumni interest in STEM majors and colleges, and STEM school ratings,” according to Niche.
