Bucks photographer exhibits in New Hope and Philadelphia

“Visions of Cubicity” is by Christopher Kennedy.

Bucks County photographic artist Christopher Kennedy will be featured at The Bazemore Gallery, 4338 Main St., Philadelphia, during the months of July and August.

“Impalpable Light” features a retrospective of Kennedy’s fast evolving work.

Commencing in 2011 with his distinctive abstract Photo Luminism® technique through to work produced late 2016, the exhibition includes his current “Surrealism” and “Trees Revered” series, to which he adds elements of representational imagery.

Many of his “strikingly large and colorful pieces” on brushed aluminum are shown as well as color and black and white images on archival paper.

Kennedy is currently in the process of building his 3-D illuminated sculpture “Exhibitionist” – a winner of the 2016 New Hope Outdoor Sculpture initiative, to be installed early 2018.

His photographic work can also be seen at The Studio Gallery, 19 W. Mechanic St., New Hope, through July 21, in “Re-Imagined,” featuring the “Inherited” and “Trees Revered” series.

His “Firefly Tree” won a Patron’s award and the People’s Choice award at the Phillips Mill Photographic Exhibition in June.
