While volunteers were the focus of Doylestown Health’s recent annual Volunteer Appreciation luncheon, the Team Builder award highlighted the positive relationship between volunteers and paid staff.

Outpatient registrar Gail Harris received the individual Team Builder award and the appreciation of the volunteers with whom she works.

Doylestown Health associates appreciate the dedication of 894 adult and teen volunteers who assist paid staff every day. Some of these associates go above and beyond in strengthening the relationship between volunteers and staff by providing meaningful work and a collegial atmosphere.

Each year the Volunteer Advisory Committee, which includes volunteer leaders from each service, votes on the Team Builder awards. Doylestown Health’s annual Volunteer Luncheon took place on Thursday, April 20, at Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland in advance of National Volunteer Week (April 23 to 29). During the week, associates will compete in a decorating contest and provide treats and tokens of appreciation for the volunteers they work with.

Doylestown Health’s 894 adult and teen volunteers gave 125,855 hours of service last year, which is an increase of 16,000 hours from the previous year.
