Artsbridge offers program on arts in Cuba

Join Bob and Norene Barish as they share their sights, sounds and experiences of a recent trip to Cuba on one of the first cultural learning tours since the country started opening its doors to the United States.

Explore the journey from Havana to Santiago on a 1,000-mile, two-week trip, when they present “The Arts in Cuba,” as part of the Artsbridge Distinguished Artist Series at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Prallsville Mill, 33 Risler St., Stockton, N.J.

Cuba has a rich history that has shaped its cultural heritage. The people are proud to share their culture as the opportunity is becoming readily available through music, dance and the visual arts.

Bob is a graduate of The University of The Arts in Philadelphia. He is a board member for Artsbridge and serves as the coordinator of the Artsbridge River Rats Plein Air painting group. His artwork is on display at the Lawrence Gallery in Lawrence, N.J., as well as at Ellarslie, The City Museum of Trenton.
