Penn Relays host area’s finest

The annual running of the Penn Relays took place April 26 to 28 at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Many schools sent athletes. Here are some of the local results ...

• Four teams finished in the top 7 of the High School Boys’ 4x400 Suburban National: Pennridge (Luke Eissler, Matt Eissler, Bobby Brashear, Andersen Dimon) was first in 3:20.68; Central Bucks West (Luke Fehrman, Nick Ferrentino, Roman Katona, Jake Claricurzio) was second in 3:21.91; Central Bucks East (Jake Zosulis, Richie Jethon, David Endres, Wyatt Knipe) was fourth in 3:24.59; and Central Bucks South (Kyle Magee, Chris Cardamone, Paul Gabrys, Michael Cannon Jr.) was seventh in 3:27.80. CB West (Fehrman, Ferrentino, Katona, Brian Baker) was third in the High School Boys’ 4x400 Philadelphia Area in 3:22.72. Quakertown (Nick Yeatman, Luke Livingston, Joel Welliver, Hudson Delisle) was seventh in the High School Boys’ 4x400 Suburban American in 3:30.67. New Hope-Solebury (Andrew Purdy, Christopher Cammarata, Christian Kruse, Owen Nettles) was sixth in the High School Boys’ 4x400 Suburban B in 3:39.90. CB East (Marc Motter, Alex Bardwell, Jethon, Endres) was fifth in the High School Boys’ 4x800 Large Schools in 7:59.30. CB West (Ben Bunch, Fehrman, Claricurzio, Baker) was ninth in the High School Boys’ Distance Medley Championship of America in 10:21.14.

• In the High School Girls’ 4x400 Suburban National, CB West (Katy Jenkins, Sam Ronald, Steph Hiltpold, Emmi Simon) was second in 3:57.01; CB East (Kiernan Hutchinson, Makayla Romanus, Brooke Martin, Mckenna Brophy) was third in 4:04.69; Pennridge (Meghan Kriney, Ashley Gordon, Melissa Sicinski, Alexia Kirk) was fifth in 4:11.36; and CB South (Nancy McGrath, Ashley Conway, Marlena Tosti, Safiya Dodoo) was 10th in 4:19.56. CB West (Jenkins, Ronald, Hiltpold, Simon) was seventh in the High School Girls’ 4x400 Philadelphia Area in 3:58.00. Quakertown (Kacey Lambinus, Ashlyn Hickey, Brianna Nadal, Emily Dzieniszewski) was seventh in the High School Girls’ 4x400 Suburban American in 4:17.64. New Hope (Katie Hunt, Maryna Chuma, Julia Mycek, Claudia Kolinchak) was 13th in the High School Girls’ 4x400 Suburban ChesMont in 4:23.50. In the High School Girls’ 4x800 Large Schools, CB West (Piper Wilson, Simon, Vanessa Barrow, Darby Roth) was third in 9:27.99 and CB East (Hutchinson, Brophy, Martin, Campbell Seguine) was eighth in 9:34.25. Palisades’ Lydia Bottelier tied for eighth in the High School Girls’ High Jump Championship at 5-7.25.
