Bluegrass band headlines Perkasie coffeehouse

Coal Country Express performs at Perkasie Patchwork Coffeehouse on May 19.

Perkasie Patchwork Coffeehouse features Coal County Express, from the roots of Pennsylvania coal country, with traditional bluegrass with grassed-up versions of folk, country and classic rock on May 19.

Juliana Parker opens the evening.

Doors open at 7 p.m., with performances at 7:30 p.m. at 320 W. Chestnut St., at the corner of 4th and Chestnut streets, Perkasie.

All ticket sales are at door; there are no advance sales and no reservations. Desserts and drinks will be available. The building is wheelchair accessible.

Adults pay $12, adults over 65 pay $10, students 13 and up pay $6, and those 12 and under are admitted for free. A portion of the proceeds support Pennridge FISH (Fellowship In Serving Humanity), the local nonprofit food pantry and clothing outlet.

In addition, donations of nonperishable food may be dropped off for Pennridge FISH at all Patchwork concerts.
