CB West Harlequin Club set to perform musical “Big Fish”

Students from the Central Bucks West Harlequin Club rehearse for “Big Fish,” with performances set for March 23 to 25.

Central Bucks West Harlequin Club presents “Big Fish,” March 23 to 25.

Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the film directed by Tim Burton, “Big Fish” centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest … and then some.

Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son, Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.

Leading the cast under the musical direction of Dr. Joseph Ohrt and director-choreographer Jessica Bostock are: Gianni Recupero as Edward Bloom; Taylor Mitchel as Sandra Bloom; Angela Gibbons as The Witch; Will Fredendall as Dr. Bennett; Patrick Morgan as Don Price and Natalie Kim as Jenny Hill.

Also leading the cast are: Eva Martinez, Emma Gogol, Mollie Schumaker and Liza Lemus as Alabama Lambs; Connor Hopkins as Will Bloom; Kaitlyn Benson as Josephine Bloom; Evan Byrne as Amos Lee; Nick Ferrara as Karl the Giant; Jacob Janik as Zacky Price; and Emilie Ahr as the Mermaid.

“This newer contemporary musical is overflowing with heart, humor, and spectacular stagecraft. ‘Big Fish’ is an extraordinary musical that reminds us why we love going to the theater – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.”

Show times are 7:30 p.m. March 23 and March 24, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 25, at the Central Bucks High School West Auditorium in Doylestown.

Tickets can be purchased at cbwbigfish.bpt.me or at the door for $10 for students and senior citizens and $12 for adults.
