St. Isidore school celebrates Catholic education

The Philly Phanatic poses with the St. Isidore School’s Early Childhood students.

St. Isidore School in Quakertown celebrated Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 28 to Feb. 3.

On Tuesday, Jan. 30, the entire St. Isidore school participated in “Hoops for Hearts.” Students got their bodies moving and their hearts pumping for an hour to raise money for the American Heart Association. A surprise guest, the Philly Phanatic, added some extra excitement.

On Career and Vacation Day, students learned about what it takes to become an engineer, lawyer, vet tech, biologist, priest/sister, state trooper and politician. Craig Staats shared his career path and the main responsibilities of his role as a Pennsylvania state representative. For the younger grades, officers from the Quakertown and Richland Township Police Department read books to the students. Even K9 Officer Fury visited students.
