New Hope-Solebury theater club presents “Pippin”

Ben Dupont (Pippin) and Katie Mardirossian (Leading Player) star in New Hope-Solebury’s production of “Pippin,” March 8 to 10, in the Stephen J. Buck Theater.

Mask & Zany, the New Hope Solebury High School Theater Club, will present “Pippin.”

As Music Theatre International puts it, “there’s magic to do when a prince learns the true meaning of glory, love and war in Stephen Schwartz’s iconic and unforgettable musical masterpiece.”

In addition to “Magic To Do,” the show includes the anthem “Corner of the Sky” and a salute to Bob Fosse’s choreography.

The show runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, March 8, 9, and 10. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. in the Stephen J. Buck Theater at 182 W. Bridge St., New Hope.

The production features Ben Dupont in the title role, Katie Mardirossian as The Leading Player, Christian Kruse as Charlemagne, Lola Dardzinski as his wife Fastrada, Hope King as Catherine (Pippin’s beloved), Travis Gawason as Charlemagne’s son Lewis, and Sophia Carroll as Pippin’s grandmother Berthe. The production also introduces Sam Cherone, a second-grader at the New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School, as Catherine’s son, Theo.

Tickets can be reserved by emailing mpittner@nhsd.org. The production is rated PG-13.
