Christmas movies and more return to Newtown Theatre

December is packed full of holiday cheer at the historic Newtown Theatre.

In addition to screening eight Christmas classic movies, the theater is playing host to several live concerts and shows. The lineup includes:

• “Elf” – Saturday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “It’s a Wonderful Life” – Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “A Christmas Story” – Saturday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “Blue Christmas Elvis Show” – Saturday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m., featuring all of Elvis’s Christmas hits and more. Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com.

• “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” – Sunday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “Miracle on 34th Street” – Sunday, Dec. 16, at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “The Bells of St. Mary’s” – Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “Holiday Inn” – Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

• “Acoustic Christmas Concert” – Friday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m. A family friendly acoustic concert featuring four musicians playing Christmas songs. Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com.

• “It’s a Wonderful Life” – Saturday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
