Actor Richard Kind stages benefit performance in Bucks

For one night only, get up close and personal with Bucks County’s own award-winning actor Richard Kind, for a performance of stories and anecdotes on Friday, Nov. 10.

In celebration of the Council Rock Education Foundation’s 10-year anniversary, Kind is dedicating all event proceeds to help fund creative educational projects for kids throughout the area.

In 2013, Kind, a Pennsbury High School alumnus, was nominated for a Tony Award for a dramatic role in “The Big Knife.” Although most viewers know Kind’s face from his comedic work in such series as “Mad About You,” “Spin City” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” millions now know his voice as well, thanks to portraying Bing Bong in Pixar’s “Inside Out.” For the time being, Kind is back in front of the camera, revisiting the ’80s in the new series “Red Oaks,” the third season of which is now available for viewing via Amazon Prime.

Limited tickets are on sale for Nov. 10 at the Zlock Performing Arts Theater at Bucks County Community College, Newtown.

VIP tickets include preferred seating, pre-show reception from 6 to 7:15 p.m.; wine, beer, and hors d'oeuvres plus exclusive post-show meet and greet reception with Kind.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds go to fund innovative projects for kids through the Council Rock Education Foundation.
