With weekly meetings in Lambertville, N.J., local professional networking organization Business Xchange Group hosted an open house/business card exchange with an extra special twist: The evening included the presentation of a $500 donation to the Rolling Harvest Food Rescue.

Rolling Harvest Food Rescue is a modern-day gleaning organization, referring to the ancient biblical practice of farmers leaving crops in their fields for the hungry to collect for nourishment.

On Sept. 14, the Business Xchange Group (also known as “BXG”) opened its doors at the host office of Glenn M. Davis in Flemington, N.J., for a Thursday Night Tailgate. It was an opportunity for BXG members to mingle with invited guests and share business experiences.

But it also held special resonance when BXG member Gary O’Connor led a dedication to Rolling Harvest founder and Executive Director Cathy Snyder and her Program Director, Jamie McKnight. Snyder shared a brief presentation of the Rolling Harvest mission and was presented with a donation from BXG of $500 for the organization.
