Stover Mill Gallery hosts exhibition

“Impressions of Colorado” is a photograph by Dore Vorum.

The Stover Mill Gallery, the longest continuously running art gallery in Bucks County, hosts its sixth juried art exhibition for four weekends, Oct. 14 through Nov. 5.

A gala reception will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15. Awards and prize money will be announced. Fifty-three regional artists are included in this year’s exhibition.

The 2017 jurors were Betz and Jim Green, husband and wife artists from Philadelphia. Both attended the Tyler School of Art.

Betz’s work reflects a renewed passion for drawing and painting from life. Her work is featured in galleries and in private collections. After 30 years as owner and operator of a construction business, Jim now has turned his full attention to a career in the fine arts. He uses vibrant colors to create oil paintings with an impressionist style, depicting regional landscapes.

Since 1959, Stover Mill Gallery, 852 River Road, Erwinna, has served as a showcase for artists active in the Delaware Valley art scene. The gallery offers the public an opportunity to see original works of art in a building of historical and architectural interest with a dramatic view of the Delaware River.

The juried exhibition is sponsored by the nonprofit Tinicum Civic Association.
