Young artists’ work to benefit PA Lyme Resource Network

Posted

May is Lyme Awareness Month, and to raise awareness, 30 local youth artists have joined together to complete one collaborative painting which will be sold to the highest bidder as a fundraiser for PA Lyme Resource Network (palyme.org).

Their 14-inch by 18-inch acrylic on canvas painting titled “Sunset Over Schofield Ford Covered Bridge” will be on display for the entire month of May at Countryside Gallery, 2 S. State St., Newtown.

Bidding entry forms for the silent auction are available at the gallery, or bids can be placed via email at youthartsilentauctionbids@aol.com. You can also call in your offer and contact information to the gallery at 215-968-2246. Bids will be accepted through June 2, and the highest bidder will be contacted June 3.

Note cards and prints featuring another collaborative painting by students titled “Springtime at Tyler Park” will be on sale. Both scenes feature Pennsylvania landscapes because while Lyme and TBS are prevalent in Pennsylvania, it is still important to get outside and enjoy nature.

Prevention information will be available at the display table. One hundred percent of proceeds from the sale of these note cards, prints, and the silent auction piece will be donated to PAlyme.org. PA Lyme Resource Network is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to education, prevention, support and patient advocacy.
